Meet Dr. Thunberg

Dr. Thunberg is a highly skilled and compassionate dentist with a wealth of experience in the field. His journey in the world of dentistry began when he graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. Building upon this solid educational foundation, he pursued his passion for dentistry at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry at the University of Southern California, earning his degree in 2002.

Following his graduation, Dr. Thunberg's commitment to service led him to receive a Health Professions Scholarship from the United States Army. He then embarked on a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Ft. Carson in Colorado Springs, CO, where he honed his clinical skills and knowledge.

After completing his residency, Dr. Thunberg served as the Regimental Dentist for the 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment at Ft. Carson for three years. During his military service, he was deployed twice to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, demonstrating unwavering dedication to his duty.

In 2006, after an honorable discharge from the military, Dr. Thunberg returned to the Los Angeles area and joined the practice of Dr. Kend. Since then, he has been an integral part of the South Bay Community, providing top-notch dental care to his patients.

Dr. Thunberg is a proud member of several esteemed dental organizations, including the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association,  the Western Los Angeles Dental Society and the prestigious Pierre Fauchard Dental Academy.  He has actively contributed to the dental community as a past board member of the WLADS and the past chairman of the Peer Review Committee.

In his personal life, Dr. Thunberg finds happiness in the company of his loving wife, Lori. He also has two cats Leo and Chloe  

When he's not busy providing exceptional dental care, Dr. Thunberg enjoys pursuing his hobbies, which include golfing, spending time outdoors, and exploring new travel destinations.
